Northern California Hair Artist | How To Curl Your NBR Extensions

The number one question I get when I promote NBR throughout all of my social media, is how do you curl your luscious locks? So on today’s post I’ll be sharing a few of the products I use to accomplish this look.

Also, the texture of hair is different for everyone! So go online to KevinMurphy.com and take the quiz to match your hair with products that best suit you!

  1. Before I Curl
Every time I wash my hair, I use the Kevin Murphy Wash and Rinse. This helps maintain the shine, and growth of my natural hair too! If I feel like I need a bit more moisture, I go in with the Kevin Murphy Masque, and I leave that in for 3- 5 minutes! You know, on those days when the tunes are amazing and you just need that extra 10 minutes in the shower!

  2. After The Shower
When I blow dry my hair, I focus the Smooth Again product just on my extensions. I can’t use this on my natural hair because it weighs it down a bit! In my natural hair, I use the leave in conditioner just to add some more shine and moisture. Then, I go in with either the Body Mass or Body Builder to add volume, because we all need volume!

  3. Before Blow Drying
As you can tell, I love a healthy looking head of hair, so to add MORE shine and moisture, I use the Young Again oil before I begin curling. I rub it on my hands then run it through my hair, avoiding the roots.

  4. After Blow Drying
After I blow dry, I go in with the Doo.Over spray to add yet again more volume and it helps hold the curls all day! Because again… the more volume, the happier I am!

  5. After Curling
When I’m done curling my hair, I finish it off with the Session Spray to my bangs/fringe area so those pesky hairs don’t go wild!
